probably the last 5 heroics i have run with a warrior tank i have had http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=50720 cast on me. Trend now to just cast on the highest geared DPS and i have crossed a line? Or did they change the mechs on it?

When I am tanking on my Warrior, I put Vigilance on the biggest aggro hog in the group, preferably someone with good AE. If you are getting Vigilance cast on you regularly, it means you are growing up :)
I wish I could collect child support on alts...

ahhh the other Huntard gets it as well :) I would think mages would get it more but most of these groups i am 1k-2kGS higher. Not that i am complaining, the runs have all been good

If the mage is arcane, they likely have significant amounts of aggro reduction built in.
They do? Did someone tell Muad this, he still seems to die more than he should...

Vigilance is put on the person pumping out the most threat. Many classes, including magi, have fairly significant aggro reductions via talents.
Hunters are one of the major exceptions. They are meant to control their threat levels with abilities such as Feign Death. Thus hunters have one of the higher threat/damage ratios. So they tend to be good vigilance targets.
Rogues can be good vigilance targets on a raid boss for much the same reason.

So the Warrior is getting a double dose of threat from me. MD and Vig gives them a great start :)

Vig transfers 10% of your threat constantly. Misdirect is 100% transfer for 4 seconds.
They do not stack. While misdirect is up, Vigilance has no effect on threat. Indeed, there was a fairly recent bugfix with Vigilance's threat transfer component not reapplying after Tricks of the Trade or Misdirect wore off.
Still, they are going to be getting a lot of threat from you in any case.
And yes, as Effy said, it's a Prot Talent. 31 point.
