I've been thinking lately.
WoW 4.0 will change the Old World. Hundreds of quests are going to be added, and thousands more redesigned. The leveling zones are going to be overhauled, and you will be able to fly over any of them. Everything will change. That said, will it actually matter to any character over 80? When the expansion drops, you will be questing in Hyjal, the Abyssal Maw, the Twilight Highlands, and Deepholme-- all brand-new zones. Unless you are leveling a new toon, will you ever notice the changes to the older zones? Does being able to fly over Elwynn Forest really matter if you out-level the zone by 75 levels? Is it possible that Blizzard is spending huge amounts of time and resources on content that only new subscriptions will see? At this stage in WoW's life, are there really enough new players to justify it?
What do you think, Avowry?
I wish I could collect child support on alts...
